During the course of the day students gather to discuss different topics from the classes they are taking together.  This is a great time to exchange ideas and to stimulate new thoughts.

Online Giving Tutorial

All contribution information will be kept strictly confidential.

You can show your support for the Academy, quickly and easily, by making a credit card contribution online. Click here to reach the secure donation site.

Once you're there, here's how to contribute:

  1. STEP 1

You may fill in the other fields as you wish, including an "opt-in/opt-out" checkbox for all future e-mail correspondence from the Academy and a checkbox if you wish a particular gift to be anonymous (your name and address will still be required for anonymous gifts; however, your name will not be listed in any internal reports).

If you wish, you may create your own free registration account for future donations. Click on the Sign Up link in the Optional Login box and enter the requested information, including a login name and password. This will avoid reentering your required Registration Information each time you donate online.

The questions asked in the Additional Information section are also optional. They are designed to help improve our database information on alumni and members of the General Church. The final checkbox allows you to choose whether your name (without donation amounts) will be included in any published reports that are mailed to other alumni and friends.

Click the Continue button to make your donation.

  2. STEP 2

In the Donation Information section, enter the amount — minimum $10.00 — you wish to contribute and choose a fund designation * from the drop-down menu. You may also select the appropriate checkboxes to indicate if your donation is made on behalf of your company, a charitable foundation, a family trust, or any other organization, or — if you have not already done so — to indicate if this gift is to be made anonymously.

    * UPDATE August 25, 2006: Four new funds have been added. In addition to the unrestricted annual fund — The Fund for the Academy — you may also choose direct your support toward one or more of the individual schools. Please Note: supporting more than one specific Academy school may require multiple online transactions.

In the Payment Information section, enter your credit card number, choose the card type from the dropdown menu and enter the card's expiration date and security code. Please Note: For security purposes, your credit card numbers must be entered each time you donate online even if you create a registration account.

You may also choose, from a dropdown menu, how you heard about the Academy's online donation website.

Click on the Proceed to Verification button to confirm your donation, then click on the Make Donation Now button, on the confirmation screen, to complete your transaction.

  3. STEP 3

You will then get an immediate, on-screen confirmation and thank-you letter from Bruce Henderson, Director of Development and Communications. A duplicate copy, which should be saved as a receipt for your tax files, will be e-mailed to you.

Please Note: donors in Canada will receive an additional receipt for the Canada Revenue Agency within a few weeks of a donation. Donors outside North America should consult their personal tax advisors or appropriate governmental agencies about donations to the Academy.

At the bottom of each letter are three links: the first will enable you to send questions or comments to the Development Office, by e-mail; the others will allow you to link back to either the Academy's donation page, if you would like to donate again, or to the General Church donation page, if you would like to support it as well.

Please Note: Unlike donations made by check, credit card contributions — online, by phone or by mail — must be made separately to the Academy and the General Church. In addition, US banking laws prohibit the General Church from accepting credit card contributions on behalf of a local society.

At the top of some screens, as well as the confirmation letter, you may have noticed links to View my Web donation history and Tell a friend. To track your donation history, you will need to create a registration account. Clicking on the history link will provide you with a summary of all your donations (to both the Academy and the General Church, if you choose to make them). The Tell a friend feature will allow you to let classmates and other alumni know, by e-mail, about the Academy's new online donation webpage.
